Great Two Bedroom Condo, easy access and in the Heart of Venice Scene and Best Food
Posted on: 12/15/2015
This retro style, two bedroom condo (part of a four-plex) had everything we needed for a great stay. Most of all, location, a block from one of the best Japanese restaurants (Hama) and Italian, Cucci Venice. Both bedrooms were large with plenty of closet space. Laundry access was easy, New appliances (Lacked a dishwasher, but no big deal) including a large frig and stove. The patio area is quite and pleasant, We used the internet, but could not figure out how to get the cable to work, but we weren't there to watch TV so no loss there. Its a short walk to the beach and the Venice beach boardwalk scene; two block from Abbot Kinney district, (Intelligentsia coffee house was fun for a late night hot chocolate) Bikes can be provided for a small extra cost for your stay. The owner/staff was very responsive and accommodating. The place was clean, well laid out, thoughtfully furnished, and a great place to be in the middle of the Venice adventure. Parking was tight and in the back, but secure. The owners use a key code system that I found convenient and easy as well as safe. The home was quiet and restfull (a marked contrast from being on the boardwalk). The single bathroom was well fitted, clean and had plenty of extra towels and necessities. The hot water was hot, the mirrors and lighting well placed. Getting from LAX to the condo was simple and navigating to and from various fun venues, i.e. to LACMA, The Disney Concert Hall Down town was easy and straightforward. The value was excellent, and we had a great time. I'm from Maui, Hawaii and I came to visit my 24 year old son for his birthday and celebrate his excellent school achievements. He stayed with me and the condo met all of our needs; was a fund place to hang out in and captured the attention, style and high praises of my discerning son. He said " I could live here." Thank you. I hope this review helps you make an informed choice to rent this very nice place in the heart of Venice. Blessings,

I am a consultant and travel all the time. I have found a gem in Venice. I was booked for the week but extended it through the weekend, so my partner could come into town. I could not have enjoyed it more. I love the location !!! Steps to the sand & famous Abbot Kinney. The place was tastefully decorated and equipped with all the things you need, Had the feel of a luxury hotel with the privacy of my own space. My partner and I could not be happier and the price is remarkable for what you get.

Very nice place

The apartment was very cute, light, clean and pleasant to stay in. It was an easy walk down to the beach and to Abbot Kinney Blvd for shopping or a delicious morning cup of coffee at Intelligentsia. Our family enjoyed our stay very much. It is in a busy area, so if you are looking for peace and quiet you may wish to stay a little farther from the beach. But it is a fun neighborhood and there is plenty to do. The courtyard was cute and we used the grill as well.

Location and style

Great place fairly close to the beach. Interior lives up to the Venice-beach style serves as a good base for exploring LA. We would consider staying there again if we were to return to visit LA.

Best place to stay Venice
Posted on: 10/31/2014

I travel to Venice frequently for work and whenever I can, I try to stay here. The modlife team has done a great job with the units—they're tastefully renovated and haven't been chopped up like some other places. The place is just a few blocks from the beach and Abbot Kinney, with it's own off-street parking (which you will be so grateful for—especially on the weekends). They staff takes great care of us, they keep the property nicely maintained and are super attentive to all our needs. I've stayed quite a few other places and they don't come close.

Chic & Comfortable Beach Apartment
Posted on: 10/31/2014

My wife and two teenage sons were on a summer road trip through SoCal and looking for a safe, comfortable 2 bed apartment near the beach for 4 nights. The photos and descriptions of Venice Beachwood caught our eye immediately - we reasoned that it would be like staying in your chic friend's place while he was away on business. It's definitely a generous 2 bedroom apartment and were very glad that it was on the 2nd floor because we could open the windows to let the sea breeze in. The towels, bed linen and glassware were all 5 star. We definitely got the charm of the mid-century modern furniture and fittings. Location-wise, the apartment is two blocks back from the beach. And while Venice has undergone a dramatic gentrification over the past 5 years there's still quite a few characters you have to step over as you head off for your morning run on the beach. Our 13 year old definitely saw a slice of life he hadn't had much exposure to until then. Overall I'd recommend Venice Beachwood for the proximity to restaurants and beach, the little designer touches and the terrific service from everyone at Modern Life Homes.

Beautiful Property/Great Location Near Venice Beach

A friend and i stayed here for 5 nights on a recent business trip, and it was the perfect place to chill at the end of a long day. Very clean, quiet, modern and near the beach - pretty much fantastic. Highly Recommended.

Awesome place in Venice
Posted on: 10/31/2014

we stayed in this place for 5 days - and just loved it. Its very clean - and its interior design is really nice and modern. If you are looking for a good nights sleep the beds are in a class of its own. Especially the sheets are something special - my wife actually loved it so much that she had to drive to Arts District in L.A. Downtown to buy the same sheets - the best she has ever slept in! The distance to the beach is described as a5 minutes walk. Thats not true - its closer! And the location is just where you want to be - quiet - but close to the hottest area of Venice Beach. We also was treated very nice by the rental company - Modern Life Homes - just the way you wish everybody would treat you. Don´t hesitate renting this place - and we will definately be back.
