01Arrival & Parking

217 Venice Way, Venice, CA 90291
Open the property map ↗

For your first arrival, enter from the alley at the rear of the building. Use the space marked Beachwood 3. Your private check-in email includes the parking image, entry instructions, and access codes.

One dedicated parking space is included. A second vehicle will need street parking. Spaces are generally available nearby, but finding one can take longer in the evening and on weekends. Please read all posted parking and street-cleaning signs.

Your check-in email is the place to find gate and key access details, Wi-Fi credentials, and the laundry door code. Keep it handy during your stay.
02Mail & Deliveries

For mail and packages during your stay, use your own full name and the property address:

Your full name
217 Venice Way
Venice Beach, CA 90291

In the order’s delivery instructions, write “Enter through the orange gate,” then manually add the gate code from your private check-in email. Please do not put the gate instructions in the city or ZIP code field.

Arrange for deliveries to arrive during your stay, so you can receive them.

03Laundry & Heating

Shared laundry

The laundry room is reached from the garden walkway and has two washers and two dryers. The door code is in your private check-in email.

  • Remove your laundry promptly so other guests can use the machines.
  • Clean dryer lint filters after use, and leave machines and surrounding surfaces tidy.
  • Do not leave bags or laundry blocking the shared walkway or laundry room.
Washer Models & Operating Manuals

Whirlpool WTW8127LC1

Top-loading washer with a removable agitator. For our shared laundry, the automatic Load & Go detergent reservoir has been removed and automatic dispensing is turned off. Please leave Load & Go off and add your own HE detergent for each wash.

  1. Before adding clothes, put a measured dose of HE detergent directly into the empty wash basket. Follow the detergent label for your load size and concentration. If using a laundry pod, place it in the empty basket first and follow its package directions.
  2. Load clothes loosely and evenly around the agitator, then close the lid, select your cycle, and start the washer. Add detergent before the laundry rather than pouring it over the clothes.

Do not put detergent in the bleach or fabric-softener openings. Those are for their labeled products only. Please do not refill or reactivate Load & Go.

Whirlpool detergent and loading instructions ↗

The standard manuals below also describe the original dispenser system; please follow our manual-dosing instructions above for this shared washer.

Please use HE detergent and follow the instructions for the machine you choose. If you need a hand, contact us before starting your wash.

Heating

The apartment has a gas wall furnace. If you need heating and the furnace is not operating, please contact us. We will arrange for maintenance to light the pilot and prepare the heater for use. Please leave pilot lighting to our maintenance team.

Apple TV & Streaming

The television uses Apple TV for streaming rather than traditional cable channels. Use the Apple TV remote to wake the system, then choose an app to watch.

You are welcome to sign in to streaming apps with your own accounts to enjoy your subscriptions and familiar programming. Available content may differ from home because of regional restrictions.

If the screen is blank, press the TV/Home button on the Apple TV remote to wake the system. Please contact us if you need help getting started.

Before checkout, please sign out of any personal streaming accounts you used.

Wi-Fi

Your Wi-Fi network name and password are in your private arrival email.

04Deck & House Care

Keep the outdoor cushions dry

Please bring the deck cushions indoors every night and whenever rain is expected. You can store them in a bedroom closet. If they are already damp, please let them dry before putting them away.

A shared property, a comfortable stay

Please be considerate of neighboring guests when using the deck, garden walkway, and laundry room. Keep shared access routes clear and leave communal areas tidy.

Your signed rental agreement contains the full rules for your booking. If something is not working, or you notice damage or a maintenance issue, please let us know so we can help.

Nam June Paik

Untitled, 1990
From The Readymade Boomerang portfolio.

A pioneering video artist, Paik explored the meeting of technology, media, and culture. This print reflects his playful interest in how images and ideas circulate.
