Gas fireplace
The gas fireplace is a decorative appliance that also helps heat the living area. Please do not burn wood, paper, or any material other than natural gas.
To light the fireplace, locate the utility lighter, either nearby or in one of the kitchen drawers. Find the chrome-plated gas key protruding from the wall near the fireplace. While holding the lighter just above the black silica sand, slowly turn the gas key one to two turns counterclockwise until a small flame appears. Once lit, remove the lighter and adjust the flame size by turning the gas key slightly.
To turn off the fireplace, turn the gas key fully clockwise until it is shut.
Smart TV and Streaming
The bedroom TV does not use traditional cable TV. Instead, it is connected to a streaming device called Apple TV, which works like a modern cable box but uses internet-based channels.
You can turn both the TV and the Apple TV on and off with the same remote. If the screen is black, press the TV/Home button on the remote once to wake the system.
Instead of channel numbers, you choose what to watch by opening apps. The Apple TV includes all major streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Hulu, ESPN, and YouTube. Several local TV stations, including ABC, CBS, and FOX, are also available through streaming apps.
Some apps may already be signed in. If you prefer the same viewing experience you have at home, you are welcome to sign in with your own accounts. You can sign out again at any time.
We also provide access to selected popular streaming services. If you are looking for a specific service and are unsure whether it is available, please let us know and we are happy to help.

Honeywell Safe box
In order to protect your valuables you can use the Sentry Safe box at Venice Place in the closet area. Use the safe code in your private arrival email to open. Please note: When a key is pressed there will be a beep and the LED will flash yellow. After successful entering the code and the # the LED will turn on and remain green for 5 seconds. Within these 5 seconds turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

The fireplace is gas only. Do not burn wood or paper. See TV & Appliances for operating instructions.
Checkout
Checkout is 11 AM, unless a late departure has been individually confirmed.
- Sign out of Apple TV and any personal streaming accounts you used.
- Turn off heating and air-conditioning, and leave the TV remote in a visible place.
- Leave one key on the kitchen counter and return the second key to the lockbox specified in your private arrival email.
- Please do not start laundry or strip the beds. Leave used towels in the bathroom.
- Report any damage, stains, or maintenance needs. Pull the door shut firmly when leaving; no in-person checkout is required.
Request late checkout by 6 PM the evening before departure. When available and confirmed, checkout until 2 PM costs $150. Unapproved delays may result in additional charges, including housekeeping idle-time fees or an additional night.
