Parking
Please park in the driveway in front of the cabin. Do not park on the side of the road.
Please note: There is a pickup truck parked on the left-hand side of the driveway. It's our mountain truck and we usually keep it up there, even when the cabin is unoccupied.
Around the Home
Extra towels and linens
There are extra sheets/towels in the closet in the downstairs bedroom in case you need them.
Bringing Pets
We love all pets. Please be respectful and have absolutely no pets on the furniture or any of the beds. We are providing towels at the door so you can clean off your pet after playing outside. Please supervise your pet at all times and always clean up after your pet in the yard. There is a new rug and couch in the living room so please please be mindful about it.
Fires
Unfortunately in order to prevent wildfires no fires are allowed outside. You may build a fire in the indoor fireplace inside. Duraflame and similar artificial fire logs work best. One fire log is provided to you and included in the property rental. Should you need additional logs you can find them stored in the lower kitchen cabinet. We charge you $10 per log to your security deposit or via the AirBnb platform. Please indicate how many logs you used during your stay. You can also buy more fire logs at the Easy General market down the street in Sugarloaf.
Please note: Never leave a fire unattended and please make use of the provided spark screen in front of the fire. The Sugarloaf community recently lost another nearby cabin to a fire.
Hiking
Hiking trails are close up, just walk up the street and you are in the forest.
Check-out instructions
When leaving please
- wash any used dishes,
- take your garbage outside into the trash bins outside at the beginning of the driveway (black is for landfill while blue is for recycling),
- let us know if you used any additional fire logs,
- let us know any damages or staining that occurred,
- when leaving please use the key to lock the front door,
- return the keys back in the lock box (see your private arrival email) and scramble the lock box code.
Should you have noticed during your stay any repairs or maintenance work needed kindly let us know.

House Rules & Helpful Details
No outdoor fires. Never leave the indoor fire unattended; use the spark screen. Keep pets off beds and furniture, clean their paws with the provided towels, supervise them, and clean up after them.
Checkout
Checkout is 11 AM.
Wash used dishes, take garbage to the driveway bins, report extra fire logs used and any damage, lock the front door with the key, and return keys to the lockbox. Scramble the lockbox code.
